Montreal Wedding: Lausanne + Wathiq
Sometimes I just feel fortunate to be a wedding photographer especially when I am hired to cover a beautiful wedding of a beautiful couple like Lausanne and Wathiq.
I’m posting here some of their wedding pictures that I hope you enjoy as much as I did when I was taking them. I’ll probably still post a couple of other weddings from 2010 then I’ll start with weddings from the 2011 season. Stay tuned. -
Montreal Jewish Wedding: Katerina + Max
I had the privilege to cover this beautiful Jewish Wedding of Katerina and Max last summer in Montreal. I’ve already posted some pictures from their engagement session in a previous post on this blog.
It was raining on the wedding day, so we had to go for an indoor location for the photo session. Katerina & Max opted for the greenhouses of the Montreal Botanical Garden. The reception was held in the Loft Hotel Espace Cormier in the Montreal Downtown. Beside some pictures from the wedding, I’m also posting a couple of pictures of their wedding album. Enjoy! -
Five reasons you should develop your prints with your photographer
Delivering the wedding pictures to the client as digital files on a CD/DVD has become a common thing, whether it is at an extra charge or not and whether wedding photographers want to admit it or not. From the client’s perspective, beside getting a beautiful wedding album from their photographer, having access to their wedding digital files in high resolution is very important. But one important thing clients tend to forget is that getting the high resolution files and developing them themselves will not necessarily produce the same quality prints as those developed by their photographer. Here’s why:

Beauty and Fashion: On-location photo sessions in Montreal
I realized I haven’t posted portraiture or fashion work for a while, so here are some shots from some of last season’s sessions. Beside weddings, I’m normally pretty busy with this kind of on-location outdoor photo sessions between April and October. Check my services page for more details about packages and rates.

Wedding of Marie-Eve + Yves
Here’s another beautiful wedding that I had a great pleasure to photograph this past summer in Montreal. Marie-Eve and Yves’s wedding was one of the most emotional weddings I’ve been to in the last few years.
The wedding ceremony was in the gorgeous Cathedrale Marie-Reine-Du-Monde (Mary Queen of the World Cathedral) and the reception venue was at the Loews Hotel Vogue in Montreal downtown. I’m also posting some pictures from the e-session I did with this wonderful couple. Enjoy!
Montreal e-Session – Katerina & Max
An e-Session is a common name given to an on-location pre-wedding photo session, whether it’s casual or with an engagement dress, or sometimes even with a wedding dress. This type of photo sessions is in high demand these days as couples are becoming more aware of the advantages. Here’s why:
– Material for the wedding day. Couples can use the photos from their e-session for their guestbook, photo display at the reception hall or a slideshow projection during the reception.
– Casual photos that memorize their relationship before the wedding day and show the passion between them in a relaxed manner, away from the stress of the wedding day.
– An e-session helps the couple and their photographer prepare for the wedding day. The couple will eventually feel more comfortable with their photographer on the wedding day and the photographer will know the client better, what suits them and what may not. Here are some photos from one of the e-sessions I did in the 2010 season. It’s an e-session I did for Katerina and Max in the Old Montreal. I hope you enjoy the pictures… and stay tuned for pictures from their wedding day!

Julie + Jason – Wedding in Ottawa
In order to catch up a little with blogging, I’ll be featuring some weddings from the beginning of the season.
Julie & Jason got married in Ottawa in the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica. You can tell from the pictures how beautiful that church is. The reception was held in the hall of the Canadian Museum of Civilization (Musee Canadien des Civilisations). It was a wedding full of emotions. In other words, a wedding that is fun to capture for a photographer.

Pre-Wedding Photo Session with Julie-Anh and Darich
I haven’t posted in a while! I admit I’m not really yet into blogging but the main reason is that I’ve been busy with photoshoots almost everyday for the past few weeks! No surprise as the month of May has always been one of the busiest months of the year for me.
Here are some photos from a pre-wedding photoshoot that I’ve recently done for Julie-Anh and Darich, a lovely and energetic couple. We started the session in the old port of Montreal then we drove to some nice spaces in the nature outside Montreal. Enjoy some of the photos! -
Editorial shoot turned out to be more fun than I thought!
I had two editorial shoots for magazines this week and one of them turned out to be really fun! After we were done with the required shots for the magazine, I suggested a fun concept to my client… You’ll notice from the shots below that I wasn’t going to have a client with such a character everyday. Enjoy them!
